KYIV, Oct 25 - Experts have proposed creating demilitarized free economic zones in certain districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions (ORDLO), Bloc of Petro Poroshenko faction deputy and head of the Center for the Study of Russia and Occupied Territories Vadym Denysenko said.
"Our task is to prevent the final collapse of the economy of the region and make it work for Ukraine, despite all those events connected with the blockade of the region in 2017. As a possible option, we would like... to try to start a conversation on the creation of demilitarized free economic zones on occupied territories," he said at the presentation of a study "The Occupied Donbas: Economy, Demography, Groups of Influence. Strategies for Ukraine," which was conducted jointly by the Center for the Study of Russia and Occupied Territories and the Delovaya Stolitsa business newspaper in Kyiv on Tuesday, October 24.
