KYIV, Oct 20 – The land plot in the Dorohozhychi district in Kyiv, where the Babi Yar Holocaust Memorial Center will be erected at the site of an abandoned sports complex, were finally approved on Thursday, October 19.
"A thorough investigation was conducted by religious authorities, the conclusions of which were finally approved by the chief rabbi of Israel, and this allowed us to finally approve the boundaries of the site where the memorial complex will be built," the head of the supervisory board of the project, the head of the executive board of the Jewish Agency for Israel, Natan Sharansky, said at a press conference in Kyiv on Thursday, October 19.
