KYIV, Oct 12 – A deputy defense minister and director of the department of state procurement and supplies of material resources at the Defense Ministry, who were detained on October 11, have been notified of the suspicion in embezzling over UAH 149 million in state funds during the purchase of fuel for the ministry, the press service of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) has reported.

"Both detainees were notified of the suspicion under Part 5, Article 139 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine," the report says.
