KYIV, Oct 2 – The surplus of Ukraine's balance of payments in August 2017 stood at $518 million against the deficit of $285 million in July, according to preliminary data posted by the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).

Over the eight months of this year, the surplus of the balance of payments totaled $1.282 billion, which is 2.4 times more than in the same period in 2016.
