KYIV, Sept 29 - Power generation in Ukraine increased by 2.2% year-on-year in January-August 2017, to 102.162 billion kWh, the Energy and Coal Industry Ministry has told Interfax-Ukraine.
Nuclear power plants (NPP) increased electricity output by 13.4%, to 58.322 billion kWh. Output at Zaporizhia NPP amounted to 24.237 billion kWh (30.9% more than in the same period in 2016), Yuzhnoukrainsk NPP generated 10.779 billion kWh (1.2% more), Rivne NPP 12.637 billion kWh (6.6% more), and Khmelnytsky NPP 10.67 billion kWh (2.6% more).
