KYIV, Sept 26 – A Kyiv apartment, for the first time in history was sold for Ethereum, one of the most popular cryptocurrencies, according to a statement from Juscutum law firm, which helped to carry out the deal.
The apartment, worth about $60,000, was exchanged for an equivalent amount of Ethereum, which was owned by U.S.-based Velton/Zegelman company.
The platform for the deal was Propy startup in Silicon Valley. The owner of the Kyiv's apartment Mark Ginzburg exchanged it to the cryptocurrency under the Smart Contract, the law firm said in the press release.
