KYIV, Sept 25 - Lemtrans, the largest private railway operator in Ukraine, has acquired 300 new Ukrainian high-sided wagons for transportation of bulk cargo in the country.
The company said the rolling stock was purchased from Popasna car repair plant. The cost of procurement is not disclosed.
"Rolling stock renewal is part of the strategy to increase the efficiency of the company's operations, it will certainly enhance the operational stability of our business. But it will be impossible to increase the efficiency of rail transportation solely through the acquisition of wagons," Lemtrans CEO Volodymyr Mezentsev said.
