KYIV, Sept. 26 – A major fire was reported to hit one of Ukraine’s largest ammunitions depots in the Vinnytsia region late Tuesday, local authorities reported.
The depot, in Kalynivka, 270-km southwest of Kyiv, was reported to have a chain of explosions and massive flame raging through the night sky, according to photos posted by local people on Facebook.
The depot No. 48 is known to mainly hold artillery and aircraft ammunitions as Ukraine is waging a war with Russian-backed separatists in eastern regions of the country.
