KYIV, Sept 25 - Most of Ukrainian citizens (61%) see the level of tension in society as high and put the blame for this on the incumbent administration and tycoons, as is seen from the findings of a public opinion poll conducted by the Institute of Sociology of the Ukrainian National Academy of Sciences, which the Ukrainian news website ZN.UA cited on Friday.
In particular, 23% of those polled described the level of tension in society as extremely high and 38% as above the average.
Asked what factors they believe prompt the growing tension in society, 68% of the respondents mentioned the continuing hostilities in eastern Ukraine, 48% growing unemployment, 46% the people's impoverishment because of growing prices and tariffs, 44% corruption, 41% impunity and lawlessness of government officials, and 34% lack of confidence in the administration.
