KYIV, Sept 12 - Money supply in Ukraine in August 2017 narrowed by 0.9%, to UAH 1.104 trillion, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) reported.
The central bank said that the pace is linked to the decrease in off-bank cash by 0.7%, to UAH 309.161 billion and deposits in the national currency – by 1%, to UAH 794.986 billion.
Since early 2017, money supply grew by 0.2%.
The credit portfolio of banks in August increased 0.3%, to UAH 956.294 billion. Credits in the national currency grew by 1.7%, to UAH 535.418 billion and in foreign currency they fell by 1.5%, to UAH 420.785 billion.
