WARSAW, May 12 ??“ President Viktor Yushchenko, during his visit to Poland on Friday, pressed for construction of an oil pipeline that would help both countries reduce dependence on Russian crude oil supplies.

Yushchenko and his Polish counterpart Lech Kaczynski backed plans for setting up a European organization, similar to NATO, to help countries jointly deal with emerging energy security issues.
