KYIV, Aug 28 – U.S. Department of Energy chief Rick Perry has postponed his planned August 29 visit to Ukraine because of damages done by hurricane Harvey in Texas, the U.S. embassy in Ukraine has told Interfax-Ukraine.

"Yes, the minister has postponed his visit," the embassy told Interfax-Ukraine on Monday.

American diplomats said Perry is presently located in his home state of Texas, which was devastated by the storm.
