KIEV, May 10 ??“ Ukraine??™s economy will expand 2.8% on the year in 2006, while consumer inflation will be at 11.4%, according to a forecast released by the Economy Ministry.

The figures suggest that the ministry continues to oppose a forecast made by Prime Minister Yuriy Yekhanurov in March that the economy would probably grow 6% in 2006.
