KYIV, Aug 16 – The loss from corruption scams revealed by detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) in agricultural industry tentatively exceeds UAH 2 billion.

According to a posting on the NABU's website, corruption in agriculture is mainly scams with land and embezzlement of funds and assets of state-owned enterprises (SOE). At present, the NABU detectives are investigating into unlawful deals related to almost 8,000 ha of farmland belonged to the state.
