KYIV, Aug 14 - Ukrainian airlines saw a 40% rise in passenger transportation in January-June year-over-year, to 4.565 million people. Cargo and mail transportation fell by 9%, to 35,500 tons.

According to information from the State Aviation Service of Ukraine posted on its website, Ukrainian airlines serviced 42,600 commercial flights in January-June 2017 (25% more than a year ago).

Passenger flow via Ukrainian airports increased by 34.1%, to 7.145 million people.
