KYIV, Aug. 1 – PrivatBank, which was bailed out and nationalized by the government last year, reported UAH 2.908 billion of net loss in January-June 2017 against UAH 531 million of net profit for the same period of 2016.

According to financial statements posted on the bank's website, its net interest income increased by 1.85 times, to UAH 2.713 billion. After sending UAH 6.518 billion to reserves for bad loans, the net interest loss amounted to UAH 3.805 billion against UAH 2.18 billion of net interest income in the first half of 2016.
