KIEV, July 27 - Wage arrears in Ukraine in June increased by 3.1% to UAH 2.392 billion as of July 1, the State Statistics Service said. The arrears were up 33.6% year-to-date.
According to its data, wage arrears at economically active enterprises in June rose by 5.5% and as of July 1 of this year amounted to UAH 1.319 billion.
The growth in wage arrears last month was recorded in Chernivtsi (34.5%), Ternopil (21%), Volyn (15.7%), Sumy (9.6%), Kirovohrad (6.1%), Donetsk (5.7%), Mykolaiv (3.7%), Zakarpattia (3.5%), Rivne and Luhansk (3.3% each) regions and Kyiv City (11%).
