LONDON, July 6 – Canada will continue supporting Ukraine politically and economically after the free trade agreement between the two countries comes into force in less than a month, Canadian Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland said Thursday.
Freeland met Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman in London at an economic forum dedicated to discussions of the pace of economic reforms in Ukraine.
"In Canada, we see our relations with Ukraine not as a political attitude of some party, but as a relationship of our country to your country,” Freeland said. “We are pleased to see the successes of Ukraine and we are proud that we can support Ukraine."
