KIEV, July 5 – Ukraine’s crippling banking crisis in 2014-2016, which was triggered by the war in Donbas, cost the country a whopping 38% of its gross domestic product, the Council of the National Bank of Ukraine said.
The crisis appears to have affected Ukraine harder than the global financial crunch in 2008-2009 and came as the country had been struggling to fight off the Russian aggression.
