KIEV, July 3 – Ukraine recorded a surplus of the balance of payments in May for the second consecutive month, the National Bank of Ukraine said on Friday.

The surplus dropped to $357 million in May from $970 million in April, the NBU said.

"This was facilitated by a substantial net inflow of funds in the financial account, which compensated for the current account deficit in the balance of payments," the NBU said.
