KIEV, June 23 – The European Union would provide EUR 100 million to Ukraine for the energy efficiency fund, as soon as the Ukrainian parliament finishes the creation of the legislative field for operations of the fund, Vice President of the European Commission for Energy Union Maros Sefcovic said at a press conference in Brussels on Thursday.
"As soon as all legal steps are completed we are ready to disburse the money to this fund. In this case I have to say that the money has been ready on our account… The money is ready. We hope that we would be the only ones who would be contributing to the fund, because we are talking to other international financial institutions and to other partners who would like to contribute," he said.
