KIEV, June 19 – Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovy has called on Ukraine's government to unblock existing landfill sites for disposing Lviv garbage or offer a plot for a new, reserve landfill site.

"State authorities could take a real step to prevent an ecological disaster, by 1) unblocking working landfill sites, 2) proposing a land plot for a new, reserve landfill for Lviv and four districts in Lviv region, which complies with DBN V.2 4-2-2005 'Hard Waste Landfill Sites' state construction rules," Sadovy said on his Facebook page on Monday.
