DNIPRO, June 15 - Coking plants in Ukraine imported 4.3 million tons of coking coal and coal concentrate in January-May, which is 17% or 900,000 tons down from a year ago.

The Ukrmetallurgprom association (Dnipro) told Interfax-Ukraine that in May 790,000 tons of coal was imported, 10,000 tons more than in April.

Some 1.6 million tons of Ukrainian coal was supplied to coking plants, which is 38% or 940,000 tons down on January-May 2016. In May, 320,000 tons of Ukrainian coal was shipped, which is 100,000 more than in April.
