KIEV, June 13 - The law establishing a mandatory share of 75% of the total amount for Ukrainian-language content on television was officially published in the Holos Ukrayiny (the Voice of Ukraine) parliamentary newspaper on Tuesday.
The law enters into force four months from its publication.
The law introduced amendments to the laws 'On television and radio broadcasting,' 'On culture,' and 'On general principles of state language policy.' The law also provides for sanctions against television and radio broadcasters for violating its norms: a fine in the amount of 5% of the total amount of the licensing fee.
