KIEV, June 9 – KarpatNaftoKhim, Ukraine’s largest petrochemical company, resumed operation on Friday after five years of stoppage originally caused by high oil prices and then extended due to political reasons.

The restart comes after the government cut duties on imports of key raw materials made possible after Russian oil company Lukoil finally sold its Ukrainian assets to an independent firm.
