KIEV, June 8 – President Petro Poroshenko on Thursday signed the bill that is aimed at deregulation of the power market to comply with the European Union standards.
"The model of the market is exactly what the EU countries are working with. The goal is that we will move on to the common power grids of the European Union,” Poroshenko said.
Poroshenko traveled to Trypilska power plant in the Kiev region to sign the bill into law. He said the bill establishes power exchanges and the power plant will be able to get fair prices for power it produces.
