KIEV, June 7 – Ukraine in January-May imported 6.46 million tons of coal and anthracite for $1.03 billion, in particular in May for $264.6 million, according to the State Fiscal Service.
Russia supplied coal worth $538.8 million (a 52.03% share in imports), the United States for $264.5 million (25.54%), Canada for $72.8 million (7.03%), other countries for $159.3 million (15.39%), the service reported.
Thus, in monetary terms coal imports for the period increased by 1.8 times compared with January-May 2016 ($571.029 million).
