KIEV, June 7 – Ukraine increased by 40% on year output of passenger cars in May to 661 vehicles, Ukrautoprom Association, a automobile dealer association, reported citing preliminary data.

The increase comes as the country’s largest car manufacturing company ZAZ resumed operation for the first time this year, indicating an uptick in demand.

Eurocar, which is assembling Volkswagen vehicles in TransCarpathian region, is the only other car manufacturer.
