KIEV, June 6 – The International Monetary Fund and the World Bank have expressed their support for the government's draft law on reforming the pension system, which the IMF has made a condition of further aid, the Social Policy Ministry reported.
"The process of negotiations was completed by the prime minister of Ukraine, who participated in the talks with IMF Mission Chief [for Ukraine] Ron Van Rooden. The negotiations resulted in the adoption of a balanced, comprehensive document based on the best world practice and providing responses to those challenges and problems that the Ukrainian state and society are currently facing," the ministry said in a statement released on Sunday morning.
