KIEV, May 29 – Wage arrears in Ukraine increased by 5.6% in April, since the beginning of the year by 22% and as of May 1, 2017 amounted to UAH 2.185 billion, the State Statistics Service reported.
Wage arrears at economically active enterprises in April rose by 10.4% and as of May 1 of this year amounted to UAH 1.135 billion.
The growth in wage arrears last month was recorded in Rivne (by 51.5%) Cherkasy (by 49.5%), Dnipropetrovsk (by 19.5%), Ivano-Frankivsk (by 9.9%), Donetsk (9.8%), Kherson (10.5%), Sumy (7.6%), and Vinnytsia regions (5%).
