KIEV, May 12 – The European Investment Bank (EIB) is mulling the possibility of providing EUR 160 million to Kharkiv city to extend the Oleksiyivska city subway line.

According to a posting on the EIB's website, the project is under appraisal.

The loan would finance the construction of a 3.5 km metro extension towards Odeska station. This will be complemented by two new stations (Derzhavynska and Odeska), a depot, and purchase of new rolling stock.
