KIEV, May 3 – Ukrainian working overseas transferred $567 million into Ukraine in the first quarter, up 4.2% from the same quarter a year ago, the National Bank of Ukraine reported Wednesday.

Western Union with 60% was the most popular agency to handle money transfers into Ukraine , followed by MoneyGram (29%) and IntelExpress (7%), the NBU reported.

Money transfers within Ukraine rose by 30.3%, to $1.11 billion, while money transfers from Ukraine to other countries fell 17.1% to $68 million.
