KIEV, April 24 – President Petro Poroshenko has signed laws on the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation and on the government support of filmmaking in Ukraine.

"It is very important that the public should know that these laws provide for the introduction of modern models of competitive and transparent funding of film production in Ukraine, as well as other programs in the field of culture and art. There will no longer be any under-the-carpet distribution of funds, there will be no non-transparent distributions in exchange for bribes," Poroshenko said at a meeting with representatives of Ukrainian culture, film and television industry.
