KIEV, April 5 – Naftogaz Ukrayiny, the national company that drive reforms in the energy sector, urged the government to consider removing private intermediate firms in natural gas distribution.
The firms are believed to be controlled by billionaire Dmytro Firtash, who is currently in Vienna fighting extradition request from the U.S. on corruption charges.
Naftogaz believes that gas distributors do not add value to the product, and this job can be easily done by Naftogaz.
