KIEV, April 4 – The owners of a significant share in Tedis Ukraine, the largest tobacco distributor in Ukraine, Richard Duxbury and Richard Dorian Fenhalls (citizens of Britain), have protested the illegality of recent government moves against their company and asked the country's leadership to protect the interests of foreign investors and their business in Ukraine.
The corresponding letter of appeal was sent to President Petro Poroshenko, Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko and Interior Minister Arsen Avakov.
According to the company, after the searches of March 31 law enforcement agencies arrested the accounts of the company and seized goods worth UAH 1 billion, which actually paralyzed the work of Tedis Ukraine.
