KIEV, April 3 - Ukraine’s reserves of anthracite coal dropped 13.4% on the week on suspended trade with breakaway territories of Donetsk and Luhansk, forcing domestic businesses to seek massive coal imports from the U.S.
The reserves of anthracite, which is widely used by the country’s power plants, dropped to 444,400 mt as of April 2, compared with 513,200 mt as of March 26, the ministry reported.
