KIEV, March 30 - Ukraine plans to import European natural gas from Romania as the two countries seek to build interconnectors to expand gas transportation capacity, President Petro Poroshenko said Thursday.
Poroshenko met his Romanian counterpart Klaus Iohannis on Wednesday in Malta as the two attended the congress of the European People’s Party.
The parties “discussed issues of cooperation in the gas transportation sector seeking to enhance energy security,” Poroshenko’s press service reported in a statement.
