KIEV, March 29 – The introduction of the fee for gas distribution by the National Commission for Energy, Housing and Utilities Services Regulation in April lifts obstacles for supply of gas by Naftogaz Ukrayiny directly to households, Deputy Board Chairman of New Energy of Ukraine alliance Myroslav Bodnar said.

"Earlier Naftogaz said that the company cannot supply gas directly to households. It complained of the possibility of supplying gas only through 30 middleman firms [gas suppliers with special liabilities, PSO]. After the today's decisions of the NCER all obstacles have been lifted. The tariffs for gas transportation and distribution that earlier were included in the cost of gas for households are now separated. Consumers would have a separate agreement with the distribution company," he told Interfax-Ukraine.
