KIEV, March 27 – Ukraine and Moldova plan to apply to the European Commission within one month with a proposal to analyze Ukraine's plans to build new hydroelectric power plants (HPPs) on the Dniester River, Moldovan Prime Minister Pavel Filip said.
"I think that during one month a common address to the European Commission asking to help us to deeply analyze the possible consequences of construction of this HPP on the Dniester River will be finished," Filip told reporters after a meeting of prime ministers of the GUAM member countries (Georgia-Ukraine-Azerbaijan-Moldova) in Kiev on Monday.
