
KIEV, April 11 ??“ VimpelCom, Russia??™s No. 2 cell phone company, on Tuesday rolled out its well-established Beeline brand in Ukraine that will probably unleash a fierce competition for customers on a booming market.
VimpelCom plans to spend $20 million only on advertising and to employ aggressive pricing strategy to increase the number of customers to 2 million from 275,000 by the end of the year. VimpelCom uses its Beeline brand in Russia and Kazakhstan.
