KIEV, Feb. 23 – The lower chamber of the Dutch Parliament - the House of Representatives - on Thursday officially confirmed the ratification of the Association Agreement between the European Union and Ukraine, the Ukrainian-based political news portal Yevropeiska Pravda reported.
The ratification was backed by 89 out of 150 members of the House of Representatives, while 55 voted against it. Unlike the procedure for other issues on the agenda, voting on Ukraine proceeded in keeping with the special procedure: each representative had to answer whether he or she supports the ratification, and then the votes were counted.
