KIEV, Feb. 23 – The State Exports Control Service has disputed reports that Ukraine allegedly boosted exports of arms to Russia in 2016 recently published by Ukrainian media.
The agency said that law enforcement has reacted to all attempts of violating a ban on defense cooperation with Russia imposed by Ukraine in 2014.
"These provocative reports put the work of public agencies aimed at preventing the attempts of the aggressor state to Ukraine's independence and territorial integrity under doubt," the agency said, referring on its website to media release of the reports, based on Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) data, as treasonable provocation.
