KIEV, April 6 - Ukraine will shortly ban imports of meat and dairy products from Russia in a move that will further escalate tensions between the two countries that have been already seriously strained.

Ukraine will ban the imports apparently in retaliation against a similar move that Russia has taken on Jan. 20 and little progress made over the past 2.5 months to normalize trade.
