Protesters bar Luhansk-bound coal cars, region's governor cries foul
Journal Staff Report

KIEV, Jan. 26 – Protesters have barred empty train cars designed for coal transportation in the Luhansk region and this action threatens energy safety of the whole of Ukraine, Luhansk Regional Military and Civil Administration's head Yuriy Harbuz said.

"The action of individual Ukrainian people's deputies and former combatants of the Donbas and Aidar volunteer battalions jeopardizes energy security in the country. The protesters have blocked empty cars intended for coal transportation to the Ukraine-controlled territory. If the fuel supply is not restored, the thermal electric stations in central and western Ukraine will be left without energy carriers," Harbuz wrote on his Facebook page on Thursday.
