KIEV, Jan. 24 – DTEK thermal power plants (TPP) in December increased coal consumption compared to December 2015 by 33.8%, or by 481,000 tons, to 1.906 million tons.
"The significant increase is due to the high consumption of electricity during the extreme cold period," a press release reads.
According to the report, in the last month of last year the company's TPPs produced 3.4 billion kWh of electricity, which is 37.4% more than in December 2015.
