KIEV, Jan. 6 – Ukraine due to a cold spell is increasing pumping of gas from its underground storage facilities by 1.7-2 times compared to first days of January, to 100 million cubic meters (mcm) a day, Ukrtransgaz spokesman Maskym Beliavsky said.

"Gas pumping from storage facilities has been increased. The projected daily volume is 100 mcm," he wrote on his Facebook page.
