KIEV, Dec. 29 - Coal reserves at Ukraine’s coal-burning power plants decreased 5.8% over the past week to 1.7 million mt as of December 25 from 1.804 million mt as of December 18, UkrEnergo, the company that runs the country’s power grid, reported Thursday.
Stocks of anthracite coal, which is widely used by the country’s power plants, fell 3.3% to 877,000 mt as of December 25, compared with 907,000 mt as of December 18.
