KIEV, Dec. 9 - President Petro Poroshenko and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in a telephone conversation have discussed the situation in Donbas, the human rights violations in the occupied Crimea, as well as prospects of cooperation between the two countries.
"Poroshenko thanked the PM for Japan's continued support of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, including in the framework of the country's chairmanship of the G7 group. The Ukrainian president noted the lack of progress in Donbas due to Russia's continued supplies of heavy weapons to the occupied territories and the continued shelling on the part of the Russian militants," the president's press service said.
