KIEV, March 29 ??“ The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) said it plans to increase the sum of guaranteed compensation for individuals' deposits to UAH 50,000, compared with the current maximum of UAH 8,000.

"We want to secure an increase in the compensation sum ??¦ to at least UAH 50,000. We have already submitted a draft law [to parliament] in order to increase payments of the commercial banks to replenish the fund," NBU Chairman Volodymyr Stelmakh said on Tuesday.
