KIEV , Dec. 5 – Ukraine will consistently protect its interest regarding ship voyages to occupied Crimea and intends to achieve the arrest of a dozen ships which violated Ukrainian maritime law, a member of the parliamentary committee for national security and defense, Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction MP Iryna Friz said.
Friz said on her Facebook page that the first ship violator has been arrested.
"Sky Moon ship belonged to a Syrian family that smuggles goods and ships illegal cargos, including Syrian migrants, has been arrested. This 'hole' has not been closed for almost two and a half years. Finally Ukraine has started punishing violators. The ship could be seized in favor of the state," Friz said.
